NBHA – NE 01 NEWSLETTER

SPRING 2009

I have faith that eventually this weather will clear up and we’ll be able to scrape all the mud off our horses.   I think it’s adding about 50 pounds to mine.

For those of you that didn’t make it to the awards banquet, we had a great time.  We ended up with some really nice awards this year.  If you won something but didn’t get it picked up, you can get it at the next run.

We will no longer have a senior roll-over division.  We do not have enough seniors running consistently to justify continuing on with this.  If there are enough seniors concerned about points for the World Show, I can keep track of the points, but there will not be awards at the end of the year.  For all you seniors out there, please send me your thoughts.  If there are not enough of you concerned about year end points, then I will not keep track of them.

Our dear friend, Claudia Blaksley, passed away in January.  Please keep her friends and family in your prayers.  As most of you remember, we had a benefit barrel race for her a couple years ago.  In her will, she said that if there was any remaining money from the benefit run when she died, she would give it back to our district.  I received a check last week from her sister, so I purchased a laptop for NE-01.  I am in the process of getting it up and running.

As always, most of our correspondence will be done thru e-mail and the NE-01 website.  If you have questions, concerns or comments,  please send me an e-mail or give me a call.  If we have inclement weather, please check your e-mail before you haul.    See you all soon!!
